How do I apply for a Co-op position?

Most vacancies occur for positions in the Fall or Spring semesters. When vacancies are identified, Cooperative Education Offices of the academic institutions which KSC has agreements are notified, usually in April for Fall term positions and September for Spring term positions. The KSC program office publicizes Co-op vacancies in a variety of ways. Interested students must apply through and be recommended by their university's Co-op Office. The Co-op Office has the necessary forms and information about KSC's Co-op Program for you to complete and return. The academic institution's Co-op Office may then recommend your application to KSC for consideration, providing you meet all eligibility requirements for participating in both KSC's and your institution's Co-op Programs.

Listed are some of the Colleges and Universities KSC typically recruits from:

Albany State College North Carolina State University
Alabama A&M University Purdue University
Auburn University Tennessee State University
Bethune-Cookman College Tennessee Technological University
Clemson University Tuskegee University
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University University of Alabama
Florida A&M University University of Central Florida
Florida Atlantic University University of Florida
Florida Institute of Technology University of Kentucky
Florida International University University of Louisville
Florida State University University of Miami
Georgia Institute of Technology University of New Mexico
Iowa State University University of Puerto Rico - Mayaguez
Michigan State University New Mexico State University
University of South Florida North Carolina A&T University
University of Tennessee

What happens if I'm attending an academic institution that does not currently have an agreement with KSC but I am interested in participating in KSC's Co-op program?

You may request your academic institution's Co-op Office refer your resume, a letter from you outlining your career interests, copy of your academic transcript and proposed work/study schedule to us for consideration. Send the information to:

NASA/Kennedy Space Center
Co-op Coordinator
Mail Code: BA-C
Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899

Remember you must meet both the eligibility requirements of both KSC and your university. If selected to participate, KSC would then enter into an agreement with your university.
