Kennedy Space Center, Fla.
David Breedlove Jr. receives information from the mission
director on issues pertaining to overall payload health, status
of operational networks and progress of payload anomaly resolution.
He provides information to the mission director on issues
pertaining to the progress of countdown operations. He will
give a "Go/No-Go" status to the NASA launch manager.
Breedlove came to work for NASA Kennedy Space Center in 1980
as an Electrical Systems Engineer for the Space Shuttle Program.
After working the first two Space Shuttle launches, he transferred
to the then Expendable Launch Vehicle Division at KSC. He
now serves as the project manager and primary interface for
the KSC Launch Services Program of the NASA Spacecraft Programs/Projects
and to the launch service providers for a variety of missions.
Breedlove was born in New Orleans, LA. His father started
working on the Apollo Saturn-V program, so at the age of nine,
he and his family moved to Huntsville, Ala., and then to Merritt
Island, Fla. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree
in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida in
1980.
