Facilities Test Vehicle and Launch Umbilical Tower (LUT) stand atop the
pad's  bandstand. This test vehicle, designated Apollo/Saturn 500-F, is
being used  to verify launch facilities, train launch crews, and develop
test and  checkout procedures.
