Astronaut Alan B. Shepard Jr., commander of the Apollo 14 lunar landing
mission, takes a piece of equipment from the Modular Equipment Transporter
(MET) during geological and lunar surface simulation training training in
the Pinacate volcanic area of northwestern Sonora, Mexico. The MET has
been nicknamed "Rickshaw" after its shape and method of propulsion.
