Astronaut Edgar D. Mitchell, Apollo 14 lunar module pilot, can be seen
throwing a "javelin" left handed during a television transmission near the
close of the second extravehicular activity (EVA-2) at the Apollo 14 Fra
Mauro landing site. Mitchell used the staff of the Solar Wind Composition
experiment as the "javelin". Behind Mitchell is Astronaut Alan B. Shepard
Jr., commander. Also visible in the picture are the erectable S-Band
antenna (left foreground) and Lunar Module (left background) (20783);
Shepard can be seen preparing to swing at a golf ball during television
transmission at end of EVA-2 (20784).
