Title: View of Apollo 16 lunar sample no. 60017
Description:
A closeup view or "mug shot" of Apollo 16 lunar sample no. 60017, the
precise location of which is not yet determined. Although not verified, it
is thought that the rock was probably collected in the area of the Luanr
Module (LM). It is one of the most vasicular rocks collected on Apollo 16
and is extremely hard. It is a black matrix breccia of varying, though
extremely small grain size, containing only a few white to gray rock
inclusions.
