Oblique view of the lunar surface taken from the Apollo 8 spacecraft
looking  westward showing typical lunar farside terrain. The sharp crater
near the  center of the scene is near 117 degrees east longitude and 5
degrees south  latitude; and it is 25 kilometers (15 statute miles) in
diameter. That crater  is on the rim of a large crater that occupies the
lower right quarter of the  photograph.
