This is how the surface of the moon looked from an altitude of
approximately 60 miles as photographed by a television camera aboard the
Apollo 8 spacecraft. This is Apollo 8's third live television transmission
back to earth. At the time this picture was made, the Apollo 8 spacecraft
was making its second revolution of the moon.
