Title: Lake Powell, Colorado River, Utah and Grand Canyon, Arizona
Description:
In this stark desert scene, Lake Powell, the Colorado River and the Grand
Canyon (36.5N, 111.5W) provide the only relief and source of water. The
creation of Lake Powell by the building of the Glen Canyon High Dam led
directly to the establishment of a National Recreation Area surrounding the
lakes. To the south, following the course of the Colorado River, the NE
corner of Grand Canyon can be seen.
