Title: Skylab 2 Farewell View from the Departing Skylab Command/Service Module
Description:
This overhead view of the Skylab Space Station was taken from the Departing
Skylab Command/Service Module during the Skylab 2's final fly-around
inspection. The single solar panel is quite evident as well as the parasol
solar shield, rigged to replace the missing micrometeoroid shield. Both
the second solar panel and the micrometeoroid shield were torn away
during a mishap in the original Skylab 1 liftoff and orbital insertion.
