  STS-33 Mission Specialist (MS) Kathryn C. Thornton listens to ground 
  communication via a communications kit assembly headset on Discovery's, 
  Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 103's, middeck.  Thornton also wears the headset for a 
  SONY tape recorder which is tucked in her light blue flight coverall pants.   
  Surrounding Thornton on the port side middeck are empty meal tray
  assemblies,  the interdeck access ladder, and the edge of the airlock
  hatch.
