R. Chang-Diaz, wearing extravehicular mobility unit (EMU), tests his
communications carrier assembly (CCA) with the help of Rockwell Space
Operations (RSO) technician Pam S. Peters (right) prior to donning his EMU
helmet. These procedures are necessary for an extravehicular activity
(EVA) contingency exercise (underwater simulation) in JSC's Weightless
Environment Training Facility (WETF) Bldg 29. Chang-Diaz stands on a
platform that will lower him into the WETF's 25 ft deep pool.
