  Center (KSC) Launch Complex (LC) Pad 39B at 12:53:39:983 pm Eastern
  Daylight  Time (EDT).  OV-104 atop its external tank (ET) and flanked by
  two solid  rocket boosters (SRBs) is nearly clear of the launch tower as
  exhaust smoke  covers the launch pad.  The liftoff marks the beginning of a
  five-day mission  in space.
