Center (KSC) launch complex (LC) pad with its Spacelab Life Sciences
1(SLS-1) payload at 9:24:51 am (Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)). OV-102 is
clear of the launch tower as it soars into the cloudless blue sky. An
exhaust cloud formed by the solid rocket boosters (SRBs) and space shuttle
