Title: STS-48 crewmembers during emergency egress exercises in JSC's MAIL Bldg 9A
  Description:
During a post landing emergency egress briefing and training session,
STS-48 crewmembers, wearing launch and entry suits (LESs), sit outside the
Full Fuselage Trainer (FFT) as they discuss procedures with the training
personnel and among themselves. Left to right are Commander John O.
Creighton, Pilot Kenneth S. Reightler, Mission Specialist (MS) James F.
Buchli, MS Charles D. Gemar, and MS Mark N. Brown. Following the
briefing the crewmembers will rehearse egress procedures necessary in the
event of a landing mishap. This simulation is standard training for space
shuttle crews. These crewmembers will fly aboard Discovery, Orbiter
Vehicle (OV) 103, on their mission scheduled for mid-September of this
  year.
