Title: STS-49 ASEM activities illustrated with PLAID computer graphics
  Description:
STS-49 Endeavour, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 105, Assembly of Station by
Extravehicular Activity (EVA) Methods (ASEM) activities are illustrated
with PLAID computer graphics. Two extravehicular mobility unit (EMU)
suited crewmembers work on multipurpose experiment support structure
(MPESS) (with legs attached) grappled by remote manipulator system (RMS)
end effector and positioned in the over-the-nose location (above OV-105's
crew compartment). This position has been designated as the assembly area
for Space Station Freedom (SSF). This procedure will evaluate the ability
to use the RMS to position MPESS carrier and EVA crewmembers forward and
  above the PLB.
