Title: STS-49 MS Thuot during EVA attempts to grapple INTELSAT VI using capture bar
  Description:
STS-49 Mission Specialist (MS) Pierre J. Thuot, wearing extravehicular
mobility unit (EMU), positions the capture bar at the aft end of the
International Telecommunications Organization Satellite (INTELSAT) VI F-3
during extravehicular activity (EVA) in Endeavour's, Orbiter Vehicle (OV)
105's, payload bay (PLB). Thuot, on the remote manipulator system (RMS)
manipulator foot restraint (MFR), attempts to grapple the INTELSAT VI F-3
satellite. Part of the California Pacific Coast is in the background. The
scene was recorded by the electronic still camera (ESC) as part of
Development Test Objective (DTO) 648, Electronic Still Photography Test
(With Downlink). The crew was able to downlink the image to flight
controllers following the second unsuccessful attempt to capture INTELSAT.
A third effort to capture the satellite is being planned.
