A native of Brevard County, Florida, Tiffany Nail began her
civil service career in 1993 in NASA's co-operative education
program at Brevard Community College. Her co-op work experience
in the Space Shuttle Program Launch Integration (MK) organization
provided her with a comprehensive learning opportunity and
overview of NASA's goals, missions, and objectives.
Her career track and increasing responsibilities within NASA
have included supportive roles in Payload and Industrial
Safety Branch RT-SOE-3, Quality Engineering Division RM-ENG,
Shuttle Orbiter Processing Facility Quality Division EY-L,
and Payload Ground Systems BR. She joined the Expendable
Launch Vehicle (ELV) Program in 1997, where she has served
as a Launch Services Support Specialist and key facilitator
in the actualization of KSC/ELV road signs and the ongoing
development of ELV's Web site.
While pursuing her A.S. and A.A. degrees, Nail also served
in the summer intern program at the local office of Congressman
Dave Weldon, a space advocate. In 1999, after working full-time
for NASA while simultaneously attending upper division college
night classes, she received her Bachelor of Science degree
after attending her last class as a Florida State University
transient student in Paris, France from the University of
Central Florida (UCF). She has been inducted into UCF’s
Golden Key Honor Society.
Nail has been involved in the performing arts since her early
childhood. In 2001, she received certificates from the Lisa
Maile Image, Modeling, and Acting School in Orlando, Florida.
Her hobbies are sailing, fitness workouts, reading, and walking
her Chihuahua. She has been a member of the Junior League
of South Brevard.
