University-Affiliated Spaceport Technology Development Contract (USTDC), ASRC Aerospace Corporation (ASRC)As part of the NASA-KSC contractor team, ASRC plays a significant role in developing applications of new technology for ground support tasks and in testing and validating ground systems and components. Swales Aerospace and Sierra Lobo are team member subcontractors involved in engineering services, cryogenic and fluid systems. Universal Technology Corporation and the University of Florida are also team member subcontractors supporting research projects for the NASA Engineering Development Directorate. Additional services provided by the USTDC team include engineering studies and investigations, conceptual, preliminary, detail and developmental engineering, laboratory technical services, and laboratory operations and maintenance. Among others, purchased commodities include chemicals, communications equipment, computer hardware and software, electronic components, electrical and electronic machinery and supplies, fabricated metal products, fiber optics equipment, instrumentation and test equipment, hardware and tools, light general contracting, machinery equipment, precision optical products, raw materials, safety products, and video equipment Return to: |
